About the British Association

The British Association of Seoul is a vibrant and active social group for British expatriates and all nationalities.
We seek to enhance our members’ experience in Seoul, and provide hope and financial assistance to Korean charities in need.
BASS is a truly international group with approximately 100 members. We host a full calendar of social events and maintain strong ties to the local community through fundraising efforts.
Our membership includes, of course, many expatriates from the British community, as well as members from South Korea, Australia, USA, New Zealand, and many other countries.
WHAT WE DO
Many of our social events are held to raise money for the charities we support.
BASS members enjoy:
- A packed program of social events, including coffee mornings, monthly meetings, tours, Christmas functions and our major annual fundraiser, the Queen’s Birthday Ball
- Monthly newsletters, listing both BASS and community events, delivered via email
- Special members’ admission prices to events
- Exclusive Members Only functions
- Close ties to the British community
BASS is a welcoming group and we always look forward to greeting newcomers.
Many of our events, including the Monthly Meeting, are open to non-members.
