Meet at Anguk Station, Exit 2

Join us for a tour of Bukchon Hanok Village, home to hundreds of traditional houses that date back to the Joseon Dynasty.  Today many of these hanoks operate as cultural centers, guesthouses, restaurants and tea houses providing an opportunity to learn about Korean traditional culture.  The area is also home to many boutiques and shops selling hand-made local Korean products.

We will begin our tour by walking up Bukchon-ro, with a few diversions to view hanoks along the way.  We'll then move to nearby streets where there are more well established shops owned and operated by Korean artisans and their talented families.

We may enjoy some street food along the way and will finish the tour at a restaurant where those who wish to stay for lunch can dine.

Please remember that Bukchon literally translates to 'northern village' so we recommend that you wear comfortable footwear as some streets are quite steep.
