DISCOVER A NEIGHBOURHOOD: PANGYO to JEONGJA

Starting at the tech centre which is Pangyo, we will pass the new Hyundai shop before dropping down onto the Tancheon for a pleasant stroll along the river which links Bundang in the city of Seongnam with Seoul.  The Tancheon river is home to a large number of wild fish and a variety of birdlife and presents a great opportunity to escape the city and see some beautiful Autumn colour.  After a little detour along the guide’s favourite part of the walk, under the weeping willow covered passageway, we will end up in upmarket Jeongja, where those of us who can, will relax with a delicious lunch and perhaps even a well-earned glass of wine at Mai et Mars, a local favourite, specialising in modern European food.

Easy – Downhill or flat, but we will be crossing the river using stepping stones and the path maybe slippy if there has been rain or ice. Bring water and snack.
