St. Columban's Home for the Elderly, Chun Cheon

This wonderful home was our main project in 2007.  It is run by Sisters Nora and Cecily.

The home cares for the terminally sick and Alzheimer’s sufferers, and has an extensive Out Care Programme.  The home is now looking after 80 patients (originally it cared for 60).

In 2008, the government asked St Columban’s Home for the Elderly to take on more patients.

Sister Nora gained a reputation for making jams, apple pies and Christmas cakes, which she sells for the benefit of the home. In 2009, we helped her to purchase an industrial oven to facilitate her production of pies, cakes and scones.

She now has “Nora’s Bakery”.
