Father Francis is in charge of the St. Patrick’s Centre. He runs more than 10 different projects for differently disadvantaged people.

The Day Care Centre provides care for 19 mentally disabled clients, aged from four to 35. Father Francis also runs an Out Care Programme, looking after elderly and sick people in the area, plus a "Meals on Wheels" Programme during the cold months for the elderly in his district.

In 2007, we helped him to reinstate his "Meals on Wheels" Programme as the government had stopped its funding. After running the programme successfully that winter, the local government was so impressed that they decided to resume funding.

Last year, the Centre moved to a bigger building and was able to set up a Social Centre/Library for the mentally challenged and their families. The Social Centre/Library provides a venue for family activities such as musical instrument playing and reading, as well as respite for the families.

BASS helped with the purchase of equipment and a heating upgrade to establish the programme.
