Seoul Shelter for Women - Seoul
This is a Shelter for over 180 women of all ages. The majority are mentally challenged and therefore cannot fend for themselves. The Shelter provides home and therapy to the women with the aim of sending them into the community to lead normal lives.
Besides occupational and social therapy and counselling in the Shelter, their care involves constant hospital visits. A 12-seater van was required to facilitate their daily hospital visits which were being done in a small car before.
The van will help in cutting down the number of drives taken each day thus saving time and fuel.
This project was undertaken jointly with BASS, SIWA, ANZA, AWC and the Thrift Shop. All 5 organisations are proud of their joint accomplishment.
