About the event
Namhansanseong Fortress World Heritage site sits 500m above sea level 25km south-east of Seoul. The fortress proteced an area used as an emergency capital city of the Joseon dynasty. The emergency palace forms part of the world heritage site.
The fortress wall offers beautiful hiking trails through colourful autumn foliage as well as stunning views over Jamsil and greater Seoul.
Robyn will be leading the hike and we will start the walk from the entrance of the Emergency Palace, head up to the Bugmun Gate, then hike along the wall towards the west gate and the views over Seoul. We will hike for approximately 5.5 kms finishing back where we started. If time permits we can visit the Emergency Palace and, for those who would like, lunch at one of the local restaurants.
