A beautiful hike through Gugi Valley up to the delightful Seunggasa Temple and then up to Samobawi Rock, where the views of both Seoul and Bukhansan National Park are worth the climb.

About the event
Ending spring on an energetic note, we will walk up to the beautiful Seunggasa Temple, then should time permit we will hike up to Samobawi. This is a steep strenuous hike up many rocky stairs/rocky paths along a pretty mountain trail following a lovely stream to the temple. Founded in 757 the temple houses two national treasures including a carved image of the Buddha in the side of the mountain. Then a further 500m up the trail is the ridge leading to Samobawi, a large rock with stunning views of the mountains and Seoul. A perfect spot to have snacks/light lunch. We will then hike back down to the temple and then follow the Temple road down.
The hike is approximately 6.5km. We will hike up at a gradual pace. Resting along the way to enjoy the forest and catch our breath. Please wear good hiking boots and bring ple…
