The second of our 2025 Cherry Blossom walks, the Gyeongui Line Forest Park and neighbourhood are famous for their stunning blossoms. The park is a vibrant urban oasis along a former railway line. Perfect for a spring walk.

About the event
The Gyeongui Line Forest Park and surrounding neighbourhoods come alive in spring with the cherry blossoms. The park symbolises Seoul's commitment to transforming old infrastructure into sustainable recreational spaces for its residents and visitors. Originally a part of a functioning railway line connecting Seoul to the North Korean city of Sinuiju. It is now converted into beautiful "green sanctuary" amongst the vibrant urban surrounds.
We will meet and walk the "line" and explore the neighbourhoods and enjoy the cherry blossoms. For those who would like to, following the walk, we will have lunch in one of the many places nearby. This is a flat paved stroll. Remember to wear good walking shoes and to bring water.
We will meet at Hongik University Station Exit 6 Line 2 and Gyeongui Line.
