About the event
Join us to learn how to make a Japanese Chabako tea box! Cost is 25,000 won per person to cover the cost of the materials. We will be making a replica Chabaco 200 gr box (13 x 10). Coffee and cake will be provided. More details on the class location will be provided via Kakao chat prior to the event. A chabako is a traditional Japanese wooden tea box used to store and transport tea leaves. The word chabako (茶箱) translates to "tea box" in Japanese. Traditional Chabako boxes are made from Japanese cedar and are lined with tin to protect the tea from humidity, insects, and oxidation.
