About the event
The Korean International Quilt Exhibition is an annual event which showcases beautiful quilts made by its members. A quilt is a practical household textile consisting of three layers: the top and bottom fabric with a center batting which is then stitched together. But what is commonly meant to impart warmth is also a piece of art! This exhibition provides a glimpse of the artistry and different techniques in quilt-making, from basic patchwork to appliqué masterpieces. On exhibit will be 57 quilts from members of KIQA and 10 quilts from Finnish quilters.
BASS members Seung-Jew and Marieke have quilts hanging this year and are excited to show off their hard work.
Marieke will lead attendees around the exhibit and give an overview of the quilts on display. We will follow with lunch in the area.
Entry is free into the exhibit.
