About the event
Come join us for a relaxed chat about Kiran Desai’s _The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny_—the Booker-shortlisted, Obama-listed novel everyone’s buzzing about. This is a continuation March book club discussion.
*When:* Thursday, May 7, 12–2 pm
*Where:* Gelato Piqué Hannam (crepes—savory & sweet—plus gelato, coffee, or tea)
A quick taste: Sonia, an aspiring writer, and Sunny, a copy-editor escaping family pressure, cross paths on a night train in India. Both carry baggage from India and the U.S., and a tentative romance unfolds as they wrestle with identity, isolation, and belonging.
