You will be rewarded with great views of Namsan Park, the Han River, the Blue House, and Gyeongbokgung Palace. This trail also features some unusual rock formations including Chimabawi (Rock of women’s skirt), Seonbawi (Rock of meditating monk), and Gichabawi (Rock of train). The hike will start at Changuimun Gate in the village of Buamdong. We will get a local bus from Gyeongbokgung Station. We can finish the hike at the stamp station near Samsung Medical Center (You can get a stamp map there) or for anyone who wants to carry on we can walk through the city another 30 or so minutes and finish at Sungnyemun Gate near Namdaemun/Seoul Station. If you already have a map for the Seoul Inner Wall bring it along.
Route grading: 2+ (1=easy to 4=very difficult). This walk begins following the wall mostly on steps and some trail. After we reach the summit, it is a gradual downhill with a little bit of up and down and a small section that requires you to use ropes.
