WALKIE TALKIE, Inwangsan, Seoul City Wall, March 16, 10am

Mt. Inwangsan is a ridge trail along the old Seoul city wall, ascending from one side of the mountain, passing through the summit (338.2m) before descending down the other side. The trail has some rocky sections, and a small section with ropes.

About the event

You will be rewarded with great views of Namsan Park, the Han River, the Blue House, and Gyeongbokgung Palace.  This trail also features some unusual rock formations including Chimabawi (Rock of women’s skirt), Seonbawi (Rock of meditating monk), and Gichabawi (Rock of train).  The hike will start at Changuimun Gate in the village of Buamdong.  We will get a local bus from Gwanghwamun Station.   The hike will finish near Seoul Station, after passing by the stamp station near Samsung Medical Center, so bring your map if you have one.  

Time:  10:00-1:30pm

Meet:  Gyeongbokgung Station, Exit 3

Route grading: 2+ (1=easy to 4=very difficult).  This walk has a small section that requires you to use ropes.

Cost:  Members free, non-member KW 10,000 . You may pay your new member annual fee of KW50,000 on the day.

Please bring plenty of water and snacks as we will make rest stops along the way.

Please be punctual. We need to stick to our timeframe to ensure that those who have childcare commitments will not be late. We will wait for late-comers a maximum of 15 minutes. Let us know in the morning if you are running late or if you will not be joining us.
